Situated in the urban settings of the Bhayli area in Vadodara, "Arham" is a 3 storey bungalow with every amenity present in it for one to have a lavish dwell. The bungalow offers luxury giving an opulent vibe. The client who approached us is a businessman whose only requirement was to make the space modish and elegant with overall turnkey solutions. "Arham" can be counted as an honest attempt by our interior designers to bring out the best of the space which resulted in modernism as well as minimalism. Attention to details was path followed and we took that and designed every element present would belong together and add value by its presence. Using a variety of material in furniture and finishes with pattern play in fabrics and wood finishes, we created complexity in spaces which added that overwhelming feeling and presentation to each and every space within the entire space.
Delicately merging the sense of traditions as well as geometric patterns, the interior decorators have designed the outside look of the house which justifies the clients’ choices as well as their culture. Liveliness is bought to the outside area by creating an artificial garden with a number of potted plants. A kind of partition was designed by our interior designers which has vertical standing louvers placed at a 45 degree angle that serves as a partition but doesn't block the cool fresh breeze completely. The louvers portray "Ashtamangal Symbols" that are closely related to the Jain culture which denote a good vibe for them. It is intricately done with fine laser cut work. The safety grill is designed by our interior designers simply in a geometric pattern while the main door has a long handle with traditional designs to merge with the overall spaces' concept.
As we enter inside the dwelling, one would visualize a complete Roman theme of the whole space with a modern touch. The Italian marble flooring goes very well with the overall theme and brings a luxurious feel to the space. The pistachio green colours of the walls make the whole space look very unique and blend with each and every element present there. The couch whose fabric is selected very smartly by our interior designers for this unique space merges very well with other elements. The designer chairs have a modern look with geometric pattern that acts as a centre of attraction for the room. Keeping in mind the overall concept of the area, gold leaf paintings were specifically selected by our interior designers and self created so that every element has equal vibration and portrays harmony for the space.
The dining as well as the kitchen areas are also designed in such a way that they blend with the living area, thus making the whole space look more wide and spacious avoiding any partition. The dining table is specially designed by our interior designers in wooden finish with highly chamfered edges that make it look very elegant with the dining chairs that are finished with metal and coated with PU metallic coats. The coffee table was also designed keeping in mind to continue the concept from the living room so that every element seems to come from one family i.e. the Roman Theme. The kitchen was entirely designed in back painted coloured glass to break the monotony of the wall colour and the flatness of wooden finishes. The wall tiles in the kitchen that are selectively chosen by Mr. Pranay are made in Spain which induce enthusiasm to the area.
Meandering through the living area to the parents' room, it is designed in a contemporary concept keeping in mind the old age factor of the parents as well as their choice being simple and sober. The bed is designed by our interior decorators in wooden finish while the wall behind the bed has a subtle designer paper with teak borders in between that incorporate well with the theme of the room. To keep the contemporary feel going there are brass plates decorated on that wall with a design inlayed in it made with self creation. Previously a niche was provided against the window which was beautifully transformed into a seating area which justifies the wishes of the parents correctly. The wardrobe is designed by our interior designers smartly with three different surfaces to give it an aesthetic look. Specifically the honey comb curtain was selected for this room so that it blends with the overall concept of the room.
Further the staircase leads to the upper two floors of private areas. The first floor leads to three lavish size bedrooms i.e. the master bedroom, the teenager’s room as well as the little girls’ room which are done up in a style to suit the personality of the occupants. So we halt at the master bedroom, which is beautifully composed with the statuario concept flooring that gives a magnificent look to the room. The ravishing upholstered finish bed and ottoman with an alluring copper foiled background behind the bed as well as the heavenly designer paper above the copper foil are the elements that combine to give the space a sense of elegance and luxury. The major element of the room as well as the centre attraction is the metal finished artefact which is decorated on the bed wall. It is specifically customized and designed by our interior designer Mrs. Payal Shah with a number of metal strips to create one whole art piece that completes the beauty of the wall. The opposite wall where the TV is suspended is designed by giving the wall stone cladding and a pinch of the copper foil used earlier to make everything from one family. Another delightful view of the room is the open walk in closet that is simply designed by our interior decorators yet it comes out to be one of the most pleasing part of the room serving the perfect function for the occupants.
The teenagers' room is designed in quiet a quirky manner where the bed is raised on a platform and thus the mattress is inserted into it. Being a teenagers’ room the concept was to create a room denoting something related to toughness. And thus the flooring was selected as in the IPS flooring that clearly justifies the theme of the room while the ambience was made more cosy by adding track lights to the ceiling. The bed back has an asymmetrical design with fluted glass induced into it that completes the evenness of the design. And the same fluted glass pattern is continued for the walk in closet too. To continue the toughness concept peculiar paintings were created by our interior designers that would express the concept of the room. Whereas the recliner chair and some part of greenery all together gives liveliness to the room.
Further comes the princesses’ room i.e. the girls' room. The concept of the room is a princess room and thus every element of the room is designed and created keeping in mind the princess concept. The elegant cornice design in the ceiling makes the room clearly distinctive from other rooms. The fanciable upholstered finish bed and its peach tone with the dark turquoise coloured walls are enough to give a charm to the room. The simply designed wardrobe while the study table attached to a vertical storage goes very well with the overall theme of the room. To add the last element without which the room might seemed incomplete, a set of frames depicting a princess story were hung behind the bed wall which were totally bewitching. Last but not the least the herringbone flooring was a captivating element of the room.
Moving upwards towards the second floor there comes the lounge area. It is designed in a whimsical manner where there are two different seating areas that can count in a number of members altogether. The whole area is designed by our interior designers with exposed brick work in the herringbone pattern that gives an aura to be in a lounge area. To match with the exposed brick work, the ceiling is also designed in exposed wiring where our interior designers have designed a light which is made of teak wood and is in 'C' shape attached with a profile light below that is suspended from the ceiling so that it looks as floating in the air. The flooring is done with metallic mosaic tiles that gives the whole space a lounge feel. Above the dark flooring the designers have designed couches which are bright in colour that are green and yellow respectively which make the space enchanting. One of the brick walls are decorated with artistic paintings of the famous celebrities while the other wall has a huge disc from which the musical symbols seems to be bobbing out. The side tables of this area are specifically designed in a 'C' shape to give comfort for the user to use it while relaxing there. The bar table is also created with wire mesh in a designer way keeping in mind to make it merge with the whole area.
With thoughtful planning and focus on detailing and innovative utilization of materials, we translated the brief into the reality of an elegant and luxurious home with overall turnkey solutions that is spacious in size but by the virtue of its planning helps bond the family together.
