Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication – is what Mr Pranay believes in.
"Akshar" being the most genuine attempt by our interior designer is a bungalow situated in the urban settings of the subhanpura area whose owner Mr. Desai had the requirement to transform the existing space into a combination that would reflect modernism and simplicity with over all turnkey solutions.
The house was originally built up 32 years ago and so to bring a present day look to it, the interior decorators had to make some amount of civil changes and had to stow away the hindrances of the house. A major change is seen in the exterior part of the bungalow. The shapes in the elevations of the exterior part were designed years before and thus there was an extreme need to change the entire look of the same. A beautiful combination of modernism and contemporary concept was seen for the exterior part depicting the inner beauty of the house.
Initially there were two asymmetrical windows that were portrayed in the front part of the exterior, while there was one more window where the couch was to be placed. To balance each and everything and make everything seam pleasing and in proportion, the two front windows were converted in one single big window to fulfill the purpose of more sunlight and air while the other one was closed from the interior part. A wooden theme was chosen by our interior designers for the living area wall which was distinct from the typical visualization of wood that one understands i.e. it was grey in colour and thus every furniture was also toned in the same tone to give a subtle and calm look of the space. Pleasing colours were chosen for the furnishings as well as wall colour to make the space more elegant. Being a really old bungalow there was a column in the centre of the living and dining area, so the designers just merged it with the other colours of the walls. The unique furniture item in this space was the ottoman which was specifically designed by our interior designers with an attached coffee table to make it multi-purpose. Moving further towards the dining area, the same wooden concept from the living area was taken here too to make everything look in rhythm. The dining table was made of fine teak wood and a marble finish Italian top that made the space look gratifying.
Meandering through the dining area, we halt at the kitchen where the furniture is conceptualized in stone finish to merge with the overall concept of the space. The back painted glass goes really well with the colours of the area fulfilling the functional purpose too.
Moving towards the first floor, we step in into the kid’s room which is designed by our interior designers in a rustic theme to depict playfulness in the room. The wall behind the bed has an enchanting chocolate coloured texture with teak borders framing it that comes out to be ravishing. A specific form of art that is the “fluid art” concept was selected and made by us for this room that blended completely with other elements of the room. According to the architecture of the room there were two niches formed in a part of the room that were whimsically converted in to functional parts of the room from which one served the purpose of a wardrobe while the other served as a study table. The wardrobe as well as the study table was smartly designed by our interior designers providing niches into it to make it look more joyful and delightful.
The master bedroom adorns a work of classic sophistication with the onyx theme wall design behind the bed that looks graceful in the room. The head rest of the bed is designed by our interior designers in such a way that the loft on which the head rest is attached seems buoyant. The wardrobe is two toned that gives a completely different and a unique look. The bed is designed giving it legs and a storage function too that makes it look more adorning. Other than all this the ambiance lights below the bed and the loft complete the beauty of the room and make it look magnificent.
